IPC continues its scientific contribution to energy transformation with a new research project that will strengthen discussions on just transition in Türkiye.
The Istanbul Policy Center (IPC) has been selected to carry out a new project titled "Just Transition in Türkiye's Coal Sector," supported by the European Union Climate Dialogues Programme (EU Climate Dialogues – EUCDs), adding a new study to its research in the field of climate change.
The project, which focuses on the just transition process, a critical topic in Türkiye's energy transformation, aims to address the economic, social, and environmental dimensions of the transformation of the coal sector together. In the first phase, which it carried out in 2023-2024, IPC comprehensively assessed the current situation regarding the just transition process. The new project aims to deepen these studies further and produce guiding analyses for national and international policymakers.
